Benefit Concert
This concert is going to be very special! There are about 30-40 fantastic young musicians who are devoting their time for this special community service project. Matt Parsons, a devoted musician who also has a left brachial plexus injury (thus the name of his recording company - Left Arm Records), is flying in from the UK just for this event. The music is going to be great - the band is going to knock your socks off! Maia Litz - a 10 year old who also has a left brachial plexus injury and is a multiple instrument musician, is spearheading this event. Maia believes in the power of music and thinks that every child should have access to it. Maia began her formal music education at age three months when she entered Marzena Gulesserian's Kindermusik class and continued from that starting point. Maia has asked the Foundation to apply 100% of the proceeds of this concert for music scholarships for children with brachial plexus injuries. These music scholarships will be used by children (ages birth to 18) for instrument purchases, repairs & maintenance of instruments and for group and private music instruction. workshops & seminars. Scholarship applications will be online soon. Update 5/17/08: Children's tickets (age 7-13) are FREE with purchase of adult tickets. Children's seating is on the floor in front of the stage for a great view. Update 6/3/08: Adult tickets are now discounted to $5 per ticket :)
